Presenter gets sacked for racist insult against first lady Michelle Obama

Today, the biggest Spanish-language network in the US announced that the Emmy Award-winning host and presenter Rodner Figueroa has been fired for the remarks he made on Wednesday about the first lady Michelle Obama.

While many snapshots with the face of Michelle Obama were shown during Wednesday’s show “El Gordo y La Flaca”, in order to present different styles she adopted in recent years, the presenter from Venezuela Rodner Figueroa said on air that “Michelle Obama looks like she’s part of the cast of ‘Planet of the Apes”.

As a result and as one will expect, in less than 24 hours the network management strongly condemned the wording used by the presenter and assured that in no way reflects the ‘values and opinions “of the network and announced that Rodner Figueroa was fired.
