Two out of three SYRIZA MPs accept state car

Parliament President Zoe Kostantopoulou criticised the media on Friday for publishing what she claims are “inaccuracies” regarding the number of MPs who have received a state car.
Kostantopoulou pointed out that a total of 67 MPs — including 47 of her ruling SYRIZA party — declined the offer of a leased state car.
Based on the figures, of course, only 47 out of the total of 149 SYRIZA MPs obeyed a directive by PM Alexis Tsipras to decline the office — almost two-thirds of the radical leftist party’s MPs nevertheless happily picked up the keys for their new “ride”.
