Vesna Rakic,Radivoje Stojkovic awarded French Academic Palms

BELGRADE - French Ambassador to Belgrade Christine Moro has awarded University of Belgrade professor Vesna Rakic and Radivoje Stojkovic, headmaster of the Novi Sad Grammar School, the orders of Knight of the Academic Palms.

Presenting the orders on behalf of the French minister of education, Moro said on Monday that Rakic and Stojkovic earned the recognition through efforts in their respective fields that have contributed to the ties between Serbia and France.

Rakic, who teaches at the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, has devoted her work to fighting and adapting to climate change, cooperating with French scientific institutions.

Stojkovic, who has a degree in mathematics, has contributed to active cooperation with the French Institute and the establishment of DELF, the first French language testing centre in Vojvodina, at the Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj Grammar School, where he is the headmaster.
