Gasic, Dacic meet with Stoltenberg in Brussels
BELGRADE/BRUSSELS - Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels on Wednesday and underscored that both sides are satisfied with the level of cooperation achieved so far, adding that Serbia wishes to develop its cooperation with the Alliance within the Partnership for Peace programme.
According to a release issued by the Serbian Defence Ministry, Gasic talked about the adoption of the Individual Partnership Action Plan as the highest level of cooperation with a partner country which is not committed to achieving NATO membership, and underscored that this document will facilitate construction of military capacities for contributing to international peace and stability and a better cooperation with NATO members on the bilateral level.
Gasic thanked KFOR on its professional approach and execution of the mandate granted in the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, concluding that the cooperation between KFOR forces and the Serbian Army is excellent on all levels.
