Three people were injured after a shooting took place on Wednesday in the parking basement of a shopping centre on the outskirts of Copenhagen.

According to Danish TV, the shots were fired after a fight broke out between two rival groups of people, who numbered eight in total.

Police has restrained three people, but it remains unclear whether they were responsible for the shooting.According to Michael Andersen of Copenhagen police, one man was shot in the back, another in the arm and the third in the stomach.

Their conditions were not immediately known and for the moment the police refuses to disclose a precise motive for the shooting, but it appears to have been a confrontation between rival gangs.

Field's, which is located in the Amager district, is the biggest shopping centre in Denmark.

Copenhagen police has been on high alert after the shootings in February, which claimed the lives of two people and injured five police officers.
