Loans for SMEs in Serbia worth EUR 80 million in total
BELGRADE - Societe Generale Bank Serbia and its leasing subsidiary SoGeLease have signed with the European Investment Bank (EIB) agreements worth EUR 80 million in total aimed at lending to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the financial institutions have stated.
The 60 million credit line agreement was signed with Societe Generale Bank Serbia in Belgrade on Wednesday so the EIB will finance projects of SMEs in the fields of knowledge economy, environmental protection, health care, education and services, the EIB said in a release.
The EIB will also offer backing to infrastructure projects of SMEs promoted by local authorities.
The EIB also signed the credit agreement worth EUR 20 million out of the total of EUR 40 million, already agreed with SoGeLease for similar purposes.
