Serbian foreign minister meets with EP delegation

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on Thursday met with an European Parliament (EP) delegation headed by Eduard Kukan to discuss the state of Serbia's European integration process.

In a discussion with MEPs who are in Belgrade for the third meeting of the Serbian parliamentary committee on implementing the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, Dacic addressed the current issues in Serbia's foreign policy and the priorities of the country's OSCE chairmanship.

He also spoke about the results of the resumption of the EU-facilitated Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

Kukan welcomed the steps that Serbia is taking with the aim of a quickest possible EU integration and the level of the preparedness and engagement of Serbian institutions in the EU integration process.

He also noted the significance of the resumption of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

The MEPs offered full support for Serbia's political orientation towards full EU membership and for ongoing reforms.
