Ambassador: Tunisia takes steps to ensure tourist safety
BELGRADE - Tunisian Ambassador in Belgrade Majid Hamlaoui said that Tunisia has implemented all possible security measures after the recent terrorist attack to prevent such events from happening ever again.
The terrorist attack on Bardo National Museum on March 18 left 23 persons killed, 20 of whom were foreign tourists.
The attack in Tunis is an attack on all humankind, Hamlaoui said and added that his country is stronger after the tragic
incident than it has even been before. We can beat terrorism through unity, he said.
Serbia is one of the friendly nations that offered support among the first countries that did so and by this, I am referring particularly to Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, the ambassador told Tanjug late on Friday at the reception to mark the 59th
anniversary of Tunisian independence.
He expressed the expectation that bilateral cooperation, particularly in terms of economy, would reach a higher level this year and that it would develop to the same degree as the two countries' excellent political relations.
The reception in Belgrade's Hyatt Hotel was attended by numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps and figures from the Serbian cultural and public scene
