Framework analysis of state agencies to be completed soon

BELGRADE - The framework analysis of state agencies, which is part of the analysis of the purposefulness of the way the public administration is organized, will be completed soon, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administartion Kori Udovicki said on Thursday.

As of May, the World Bank (WB) projects, which are funded by the EU, will be launched so as to analyze in detail the functionality of various parts of the public administration system and its reorganization, Udovicki told Tanjug.

Speaking about the number of state agencies, Udovicki said that if we take that an agency is any body that is part of or under the jurisdiction of a ministry, then we may say that there around 100 or more agencies.

If we take only the bodies that are called agencies, and these are not all bodies that have been established under the Public Agencies Act, then we can say that there are around 20 of them, Udovicki said.

This is a major change and a functional analysis is necessary at the start to examine institutions and their purpose, Udovicki said.
