Serbia-US direct flights coming soon
BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted Thursday an agreement on air traffic between Serbia and the United States, by which the Ministry of Construction Industry, Transport and Infrastructure has made it possible for national airline to be the first one in former Yugoslavia to have direct transatlantic flights after almost 16 years.
The agreement should soon be signed in Belgrade, by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction Industry, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic, the line ministry released.
This agreement is the realization of one of the most important goals in the development of the national airline and will result in linking the two economies, additional employment, development of airport infrastructure, as it will encourage the construction of another runway and new passenger terminals.
All this will boost the value of the AirSerbia brand, while Nikola Tesla Airport will become attractive to potential investors and a real regional center, which will additionally contribute to a significant increase in transport of goods to America, the statement reads.
