Zilnik's documentary winner of 62nd BFDKF
BELGRADE - The 62nd Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival, which featured 96 films in the competition program and dozens in the accompanying program since March 23, finished with the ceremonial presentation of awards in Dom Sindikata in Belgrade.
In the local selection, the jury awarded on Sunday evening Logbook Serbistan by Zelimir ZIlnik as the best feature documentary and Goran Stankovic's U mraku (In the Dark) as the best medium-length documentary.
Logbook Serbistan is a story about illegal immigrants and asylum seekers in Serbia. It was made as part of the EU-funded project aimed at strengthening media freedom in Serbia.
The awards were also presented in the category of short documentary, while a special recognition went to Purisa Djordjevic for the film Cedo, ozeni me (Cedo, Marry Me).
Among international debut documentary features, the award went to 15 Corners of the World by Zuzanna Solakiewicz, while a special recognition went to The Naptime by Carolina Platt.
The audience award was presented to Goli (Naked) by Tiha Gudac.
