INS: Unemployment rate goes down to 6.4% in Feb 2015

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 6.4% in February 2015, lower by 0.1% from January, and by 0.6% compared to the level recorded in February 2014, according to the data released on Tuesday by the National Statistics Institute (INS).

The number of the unemployed (people aged 15 to 74), estimated for February 2015 was 597,000, down from the previous month (607,000 people) as well as compared to the same month of 2014 (644,000 people).

By gender, men's unemployment rate exceeds by 0.6% women's one (the respective values being 6.7% for men and 6.1% in the case of women).

For adults (people aged 25 to 74), unemployment rate was estimated at 5.1% for February 2015 (5.5% for men and 4.7% for women). The number of jobless people aged 25 to 74 represents 74.1% of the total number of the unemployed persons estimated for February 2015. AGERPRES
