Linta: Hypocritical statements by Croatian prime minister

BELGRADE - Miodrag Linta, president of the Coalition of Refugee Associations, said on Wednesday that Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic has issued hypocritical and reckless statements about the ICTY Trial Chamber's decision that Serbian Radical Party (SRS) leader Vojislav Seselj must return to the court's cellblock in The Hague.

Milanovic stated on Tuesday that the ICTY decision is not a blow to Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, and that Serbia should show thorough its actions that it is a true democracy.

Linta underlined that instead of wrongfully accusing Serbia, Milanovic's government should finally fulfill the obligations arising from Croatia's EU accession agreement inked in November 2011, which binds Croatia to punish war crimes and improve position of Serbs in Croatia.

Linta underlined on the occasion that Croatia is the only EU member state in which human rights of Serbs are flagrantly violated and war criminals are being celebrated as national heroes. Moreover, he noted that on Tuesday the District Court in Zagreb released Branimir Glavas from custody, after he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for war crimes against Serbs in Osijek.
