DS leader: Rally will be citizens' protest

BELGRADE - Leader of the Democratic Party (DS) and shadow prime minister Bojan Pajtic said Friday that the rally on April 25 in Belgrade will be a citizens' protest against "the worst government Serbia has ever had".

At the rally scheduled for April 25, specific demands will be presented to the Serbian authorities, said Pajtic. He added that this will not be a one-party rally, as the DS invited all pro-European opposition parties that openly declare they will not be part of the Serbian government and the coalition with Aleksandar Vucic and Tomislav Nikolic.

Pajtic said that Serbian leaders are selling out the country's resources through clandestine agreements, incurring excessive government debt, repressing the media, and leading brutal campaigns against political opponents.

"This will be a protest against the worst government Serbia has ever had," Pajtic told a press conference after the fourth meeting of the shadow government.
