DefMin Dusa meets Georgia's President

National Defence Minister Mircea Dusa in Tbilisi on Monday met Georgia's President Giorgi Margvelashvili, at the Presidential Administration Palace, on which occasion he appreciated the efforts and firm commitment of the Republic of Georgia for strengthening the cooperation with NATO, informs a National Defence Ministry (MApN) press release.

"I know that your country uses all allied mechanisms put at its disposal and I believe that using them at the maximum [level] will contribute to materialising the aspirations of Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration," Minister Dusa said.

At the same time, the Romanian official showed Romania's availability to support these efforts, mainly those of the Georgian servicemen on the line of preparing and increasing the interoperability with the NATO forces.

Minister Mircea Dusa said that the stability in the Eastern Neighbourhood and the extended Black Sea area represents a priority to Romania.

"We believe that the European Union must maintain its commitment in regards with monitoring the implementing of the Six-Point Agreement, which we still support on a political level and we substantially contribute with staff in the EU monitoring mission in Georgia," the Romanian Defence Minister also said.
