Artis Quarter to perform in Kolarac Endowment

BELGRADE - The famous Artis Quartet from Vienna will stage a concert in the Kolarac Endowment on April 22 together with pianist Anika Vavic.

The Artis Quartet have staged a number of successful concerts in famous world concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Centre, Suntory Hall and the Tokyo International Forum.

The quartet has achieved considerable success on prestigious international festivals and they have collaborated with a number of prominent artists. They have released over 30 CDs and a documentary about their work with Joseph Haydn's pieces was also filmed in production of BR-alpha Television, 3sat and ORF.

The Artis Quartet concert list in Belgrade will feature string quartet pieces for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gottfried von Einem, as well as the piano quintet by Johannes Brahms.

Anika Vavic from Belgrade who is currently living in Vienna has a number of successful performances throughout Europe. She is collaborating with famous orchestras and conductors and performing at a number of festivals.

Vavic is the winner of the National award of Austria for women in arts.
