Russian Defense Ministry launches… fashion line

After the Germanwings tragedy which cost the lives of 150 people, several medical “gaps” in check-ups of pilots in Italian Alitalia have seen the light of day.

 

According to Corriere della Sera, captain Maurizio Foglietti who had recently transported Italian President Mattarella from Rome to Palermo, shot at his brother in his home.

 

The 50 year-old pilot had a verbal altercation with his brother last week near Perugia. Their mother was also present in the house. Shortly afterwards, the Alitalia captain shot towards his brother. The bullets did not injure the latter, however, and were stuck in the house walls.

 

Neighbors immediately called police. Upon the latter’s report to Alitalia, the airline company suspended the captain.

 

A spokesman for Alitalia had stated to Corriere della Sera that the captain’s mental health is being reviewed. However, Foglietti also became the infamous man of the hour for Alitalia shortly afterwards, since he was in a car accident. The captain, according to police and ambulatory sources, was driving under the influence of alcohol and crashed into an oncoming car as he attempted an overtake. Both him and the opposite car’s driver were transferred to hospital. Foglietti’s wounds aren’t critical, but the other man’s injuries are unknown.
