Bulgaria President's Security Council to Discuss Army on 27 April
Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will convene the consultative council on national security in order to discuss the state of the armed forces on April 27.
The council will discuss the development of the armed forces in the context of the current security environment, the presidential press service informs.
Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev will present to the participants of the council a report on the state of the armed forces and the perspectives for their development.
The regular members of the consultative council are the Parliament Speaker, the Prime Minister, the Interior, Foreign Affairs, Defence and Finance Ministers, the Chairperson of the State Agency for National Security (DANS), the Chief of Defence, and a representative of each parliamentary group.
Apart from the regular members, invitations for participation have been sent to Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva, the Director of the National Intelligence Service Dragomir Dimitrov and the Acting Head of the Defence Information Service Svetoslav Daskalov.
