Iohannis: Political class's change cannot be without transparency in administration of party money

The change of the political class could not take place without transparency in the administration of the money received by the political parties, says president Klaus Iohannis.

"The change of our political class, so much awaited by the citizens could not be without transparency in the administration of the money received by the political parties. This is why I have sent the Parliament to be reviewed the Law on political parties' and electoral campaigns' financing. A law such important should be thoroughly debated and clearly formulated, in order not to make place to interpretations or slippage," on Friday evening wrote the President on his Facebook.

Iohannis has asked the Parliament to review the law for the modification and completion of Law no. 334/2006 regarding the financing of the activity of the political parties and the electoral campaigns, both as regards the compliance with the constitutional principles and rules referring to the political parties, and as regards the clarity of the judicial rules.

Likewise, Iohannis asks the MPs to clarify the rules regarding the loans given to the political parties by the individuals and legal persons, the donations, the surveillance of the financing, as well as the clarification of some provisions susceptible to break the political pluralism's principle."AGERPRES
