Buducnost nearing ABA League finals

PODGORICA - Buducnost is just a step away from the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA) League finals after defeating Cedevita 81-76 (26-24, 13-15, 22-20, 20-17) in Podgorica on Wednesday evening to claim a 2-0 lead in the semifinal series.

On Tuesday, Buducnost claimed a 82-81 win, and it needs one more victory over Cedevita to reserves a spot in the Euroleauge next year.

Boris Savovic scored the most points on the winning team, 22, followed by double-double Suad Sehovic, 14, Vladimir Dasic, 10, and J.R. Reynolds, 10.

Nemanja Gordic, 17, and Stanko Barac, 15, were the top scorers for Cedevita.

The next match, which will be played in Zagreb, is scheduled for Saturday.

In the other semifinal, Partizan defeated Crvena Zvezda 70-68 (22-17 20-18 16-13 12-20) on Wednesday to tie the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA) League semifinal series at 1-1.
