Czech Republic supports Serbia's EU integration

BELGRADE - The Czech Republic supports Serbia's EU integration and expects initial chapters in the country's negotiation process with the EU to be opened soon, Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Petr Drulak said on Thursday in a meeting with Serbian Minister responsible for EU Integration Jadranka Joksimovic.

Drulak said that the opening of first chapters will be a positive signal to Serbia and its citizens about the EU's openness regarding further enlargement.

Joksimovic thanked for the Czech Republic's support to Serbia's EU integration process, and the objective consideration of the progress that Serbia made in the reform process.

Joksimovic said that the opening of chapters will send a clear signal to citizens that Serbia's efforts are properly recognized and appreciated, the minister's office released in a statement.
