The third and fourth place in the male competition went to Serbian athletes Darko Zivanovic and Milos Jovanovic.
The 28th Belgrade Marathon began on Saturday at 10 a.m. and it gathers around 25,000 runners.
A total of 4,484 runners are participating in the semi-marathon and marathon races and despite the rain and unfavourable weather conditions, over 20,000 people will take part in the five-kilometre Race of Pleasure.
