Capital Summit in Belgrade from April 22 to 24

BELGRADE - Belgrade will host the Capital Summit 2015 from April 22 to 24, during which mayors of 13 cities of central and southeast Europe will discuss major infrastructure projects and ways to improve the quality of life in capitals.

The summit will also bring together senior officials of the European Commission and the European Parliament, representatives of international organizations and diplomatic corps and businessmen, reads a statement issued by the City Administration.

Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali told Tanjug earlier that he saw the summit as an opportunity for strengthening the cooperation and encouraging the trade and investment, but also for positioning Belgrade as a regional center.

"The summit is an excellent opportunity for Belgrade to get back on the world map of major event organizers, since the Serbian capital was becoming an increasingly important political and economic center in the region," Mali said.
