China's invitation to celebrations of victory over fascism

BELGRADE - The Ministry of National Defense of the People's Republic of China extended an official invitation to the Serbian Defense Ministry and Armed Forces to take part in the celebrations of 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism in World War II.

The Defense Ministry stated in a release that Beijing will hold a military parade on the occasion.

The invitation has been sent to the Serbian Armed Forces taking into consideration its contribution to the victory in World War II, and traditionally good relations between the two countries and armed forces, notes the release.

The Chinese side appreciates the importance that Serbia is attaching to developing old and building new partnerships in the East and West, especially with those states that are strategic partners, which particularly refers to China, as it represents one of the four pillars of Serbia's foreign policy.

The Chinese side demonstrated solidarity with our people and armed forces on several occasions, through the assistance in the form of several donations, including the aid provided to Serbia during the devastating floods that hit the country in May last year, the release notes.
