Tipsarevic makes successful start in Bucharest

BUCHAREST - Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic made a successful start at the ATP tournament in Bucharest prevailing over qualifier Thomas Fabbiano of Italy 6-4, 6-3 on Tuesday.

His next opponent will be first seed Gilles Simon of France.

Simon owns a 7-2 edge over Tipsarevic.
