Belgrade to host electrochemists from around the world

BELGRADE - Serbia will host the 71st meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) in September 2020, reads a statement issued by the Tourist Organization of Serbia (TOS).

Serbia qualified as the host of this event, which brings together over 1,500 organization members worldwide, after the Electrochemical Division of the Serbian Chemical Society submitted candidacy, which was backed by Aleksandar Dekanski, Serbia's national representative to the ISE.

The candidacy was supported by the University of Belgrade, the Ministry of Education and over 10 electrochemical organizations, while Congrexpo and TOS will be in charge of the organization.

This event is greatly important for Serbia's electrochemistry and reputation of Belgrade School of Electrochemistry, which used to be the flagship institution in this field of science for many years.
