President Iohannis signs decree releasing Tatiana Niculescu Bran from office as spokesperson

President Klaus Iohannis signed on Thursday the decree releasing Tatiana Niculescu Bran from the office of presidential spokesperson and communication advisor, the Presidential Administration informed.

Tatiana Niculescu Bran had announced on Tuesday that she was quitting as spokesperson for the head of the state.

"Today, on April 21, by mutual agreement with the President of Romania, I retired from the office of spokesperson. The ground for my decision was the finding that in the interval December 2014 ? April 2015, my interfacing with the press has not been what I would have wanted it," says Tatiana Niculescu Bran in a statement published by the Presidential Administration.

Niculescu Bran said that she will further support Klaus Iohannis's country project regardless of her professional relationship with the Presidential Administration.

Tatiana Niculescu Bran was appointed in office on December 22, 2014, on Klaus Iohannis's first day as President.AGERPRES
