Pistalo's book on Tesla presented in New York
BELGRADE - The book entitled "Tesla: A Portrait with Masks" by Serbian author Vladimir Pistalo, whose U.S. edition was issued at the start of the year, has been presented at the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York.
The event was organized by Danijela Milic, founder of LeitmotivArts, on Thursday evening on the occasion of the World Book and Copyright Day.
Pistalo's novel was hailed by critics as the most interesting and the most convincing story about the ingenious scientist.
It took me years to overcome the fear of such an enterprise and deal with all superlatives that are assigned to Tesla in order to reach his soul and the essence of his character, the author said at the promotion.
Vladimir Pistalo teaches world and U.S. history at Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts. The novel "Tesla: A Portrait with Masks" was awarded the 2008 NIN Prize for the year's best novel.
