Sasa Obradovic Coach of the Year in Germany

BERLIN - Sasa Obradovic of Alba Berlin has been named 2014-2015 Coach of the Year in the Basketball Bundesliga, it was released on the BBL's website.

Obradovic won the highest number of votes (88) from his colleagues, team captains and media representatives.

He triumphed ahead of BG Göttingen Coach Johannes Roijakkers (83 votes) and Coach Gordon Herbert of Frankfurt Skyliners (61).

Sasa Obradovic is a Serbian basketball coach and former player. At club level, Obradovic played for Crvena zvezda Belgrade, CSKA Moscow, Limoges CSP, Alba Berlin, Calze Pompea Rome, Buducnost Podgorica and RheinEnergie Cologne until his retirement in 2005.

With the Yugoslav national team, Obradovic won three EuroBasket gold medals and one bronze. He also won the gold medal at the 1998 FIBA World Championship in Greece.
