Forum Creative Europe 2015 opens in Belgrade

BELGRADE- The Forum Creative Europe 2015, which was opened by Serbian Minister of Culture Ivan Tasovac at the Kolarac Endowment on Monday, is aimed at informing cultural workers about the possibilities and procedures of applying for the funds allocated from the EU chief cultural program -Creative Europe.

In June 2014, Serbia joined the Creative Europe Fund as a non-EU member, and during the same month followed the formation of the Desk Creative Europe at the Ministry of Culture and Information.

So far a total of 30 organizations have successfully applied for the Creative Europe Fund, Tasovac said, stressing that being part of this fund is not only a matter of financial support, but also networking that "makes us part of this unique cultural organization".

"Thereby, we will be able to give Serbia's culture the place it should and needs to have," the minister underlined.
The two-day Forum Creative Europe is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Desk Creative Europe Serbia.
