"On April 27, 2010, the Romanian and Moldovan heads of state signed the Joint Declaration regarding the instituting of a partnership for the European integration of the Republic of Moldova. Today ? five years later ? we can see that the Republic of Moldova made significant progresses in reforming its society and adopting of the democratic values, moving thus more closer to the EU," said the message of the Romanian head of state, as sent to AGERPRES, via the Presidential Press Office.
The President reiterated on this occasion that Romania "will continue to remain a strong supporter of Moldova's European path, of this country's efforts to continue and strengthen its reform process that needs to be done in order for the country to achieve this major desideratum."
"The current geopolitical developments cements even more our belief that European integration represents the single viable option for the Republic of Moldova, in terms of security and prosperity, while Romania will remain a strong supporter of that choice," said Klaus Iohannis in his message delivered on the occasion of the five-year anniversary since the signing of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Romania and the Republic of Moldova for the European integration of the Republic of Moldova.
