Joksimovic attends Int'l Conference on Support for Ukraine

KIEV - Jadranka Joksimovic, Serbia's minister without portfolio responsible for EU integration, is taking part in the International Conference on Support for Ukraine in Kiev on Tuesday, where, on behalf of the Serbian government, she is granting one-off assistance for the persons that have been displaced as a consequence of the armed conflicts.

By the decision of the Serbian government and Prime Minister (Aleksandar) Vucic, we are here today to give a donation of EUR 100.000 and thus back the country going through the crisis, Joksimovic said in a statement to Tanjug from Kiev.

She underscored that Serbia has good relations with Ukraine, and that the government hopes for further improvement in both political and economic relations.

"Ukraine is a country that very principally abides by international law and has not recognized Kosovo's independence. We respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea," Joksimovic said.

The conference has brought together representatives of countries within and outside the EU, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, European Commissioner for Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and representatives of international financial institutions.
