Nepal earthquake: Third night outdoors, 8 million affected (photos + videos)
The 7.8-magnitude quake that hit Nepal on Saturday that destroyed buildings in Kathmandu and severely affected rural areas has seen the death toll rise to 4,310 with almost 8,000 injured, say officials.
Water, food and electricity are in short supply.
A recent report by the UN office Resident Co-ordinator states that the earthquake intensity mapping shows that eight million people in 39 districts have been affected of which over two million live in the 11 severely affected districts.
