"I got the information, which is hopefully confirmed, from DefMin Dusa: that of the four Romanian servicemen who were wounded in Afghanistan this morning, two have already left the hospital, which means that they are in very good condition. The other two were kept in hospital just for monitoring. Thank God it wasn't worse and there were no casualties," the Prime Minister told a press briefing in Riyadh.
Four Romanian servicemen who were acting in Afghanistan as part of the "Resolute Support" mission were injured on Thursday around 9:00 hrs by a booby-trap car explosion, the Romanian Ministry of National Defence announced.
"The servicemen were on a land patrol mission about eight kilometers southeast of the Kandahar military base. Following the attack, the soldiers were given first aid at the site and were then taken to the Kandahar hospital, where they were admitted in stable condition," the Ministry of National Defence said.
