Romania's Day at the exhibition will be celebrated on July 29.

Ghervasie reminded that Romania has a long tradition of participations in international exhibitions, and never missed one in the past 25 years. He also evoked the similar events in the interwar period.

Although Romania's budget for Expo Milano is one of the smallest of European Union countries, the national pavilion has at least two attractions, the commissioner pointed out.

The first one is a reed roof over a restaurant surrounded by a garden, at the crossing of Decumano and Cardo streets. The second consists in films displayed on LED TVs inside and in multifunctional screens. "Upstairs we have something traditional, and downstairs of modern things," Ghervasie explained.

Romania adds its own message ? living in harmony with nature ? to the Expo Milano theme "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life."

The exhibition will be open for six months, starting on May 1. Romania's pavilion, number S30, has 887 square meters; it proposes an architectural reinterpretation of a traditional house of the Danube Delta, on two floors, with wooden beam and glass walls under a reed roof. AGERPRES
