PM Ponta: Agriculture, healthcare, IT and energy infrastructure, among the topics discussed with Kuwaiti officials
AGERPRES special correspondent Doroteea Purcarea reports: Prime Minister Victor Ponta, after his meetings on Monday with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and with the Kuwaiti Prime Minister, Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, revealed that discussions were mainly focused on concrete projects in the agriculture, healthcare, information technology and energy infrastructure areas.

'Romania is appreciated and loved in Kuwait, considering the role played by our country back in 1990. [We discussed about] concrete projects in agriculture, healthcare, information technology and energy infrastructure (...) Thus, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister will also be paying a visit to Bucharest, as soon as possible, to talk about what projects can be implemented and to put into practice what we've established during my visit to Kuwait,' Ponta told a press conference that followed after the meetings.
With respect to cooperation in the energy field, the Prime Minister explained that they mainly discussed about the Kuwaiti students who are coming to study in the Romanian universities and also about the involvement of Romanian companies in the energy infrastructure projects developed by the Kuwaiti government.
When it comes to agriculture, the two sides are seeking for a solution so that the Romanian agri-foodstuffs to have ?a more rapid and easier access on the Kuwaiti market and the other markets in the Gulf in general,' while with respect to the healthcare system, they established to strengthen cooperation in respect to having the Kuwaiti medical and the emergency system staff trained in Romania.
