Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Proceeds to Second Round in Rome

Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov proceeded on Monday to the second round of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome.

Dimitrov defeated Jerzy Janowicz from Poland with 6:3, 7:6 (4) in a match, which lasted just over an hour and a half.

The Bulgarian achieved one break in the first set and prevailed in the tiebreak of the second set, claiming the final victory.

Both players started the match well, winning their service games until the score was 3:2 for Dimitrov, sportal.bg reports.

Then the Bulgarian managed to win a break, came in the lead with 4:2 and kept the initiative until the end of the set.

No breaks were scored in the second set, which extended into a tiebreak, which was won by Dimitrov.

In the second round Dimitrov will face the winner from the match between the Italian Fabio Fognini and Steve Johnson from the USA.
