Government to amend budget in July

The Government will amend the budget in July, Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced on Wednesday.

The first budget amendments this year will allocate additional funds for the co-financing of European projects in the administration units that lack own funds to this effect, he mentioned.

"The problem is I need a very clear situation. (...) Instead of losing 75 percent [of European funds], we will find a solution to allocate the money [the 25 percent of co-financing], the prime minister answered a mayor of Valcea County, who mentioned the problem of insufficient funds for such projects.
