Summer Holiday with Excelsior in Bucharest: drama, dance and music each weekend throughout Aug. 30

The Excelsior Theatre House of Bucharest is inviting Bucharesters, May 29 - August 30, to a summer holiday with it, a project that provides outdoor stage plays, dance and music shows as well as film screenings, the theatre reports in a press release.

"The first event, to be staged May 30-31, will unfold under the wand of the Grand Magician, a festival of children on June 1, the International Children's Day featuring teens and pre-teens. For two days, the Excelsior Theatre House will turn into a fairy-tale realm modelled by children. You are welcome to come in great numbers to witness the talent of children and young people and enjoy the innocence and energy of childhood," reads the document.

The square before the theatre house will host a trade fair of products for children as well as many surprises.

The first weekend in the Summer Holiday with Excelsior opens on Saturday at 11:00hrs, EEST, with the show "Let's Play Drama" featuring artists of the Mezzentino Club of Children's Theatre and closes on Sunday with "De prin teatru adunate," (As Seen in Theatres), a show performed by the theatre company of the Tudor Vianu Information Science College of Bucharest, at 19:30hrs, EEST.

The schedule also includes contests and shows by the Joy Troupe ("Little Prince," and "I Feel Good") and the Ozana Barabancea Canto School.
