Alina Rudya visits Pripyat

Alina Rudya was one year old when her parents abandoned their Prypyat home because of the 1986 nuclear disaster in Chernobyl.

The 30 year-old, now a photographer living in Berlin, decided to visit her old home. In the first phase of her project, titled “Prypyat Mon Amour”, Rudya visits places she had visited before, with her parents, taking pictures of herself amongst the ruins.
