Ana Birchall to participate in COSAC debates in Riga

Chair of the Deputies' Chamber's committee on European affairs, Social Democrat Ana Birchall, in the period May 31 - June 2, will participate in the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC) in Riga, informs a release remitted to AGERPRES on Saturday.

According to the cited source, together with Ana Birchall, who will be heading Romania's delegation, Deputies Alexandru Nazare and Dorin Petrea will also be present in the conference.

Birchall will participate in debates on EU's energy policy, the security issues in the Middle East and Northern Africa region, but also about the stage of the achievements of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU. Moreover, she will be attending the discussions about the EU commercial policy in the next five years, the cited release points out.
