The Prince of Wales' Foundation Romania launched in Viscri by Prince Charles

This is the second foundation sponsored by Prince Charles in Romania, after the Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation opened 15 years ago also in Viscri, the vice-chair of which is Caroline Fernolend.

Prince Charles, who arrived in Romania for a private visit last Sunday, on Tuesday launched in the Viscri village, at his property he bought here a few years ago, The Prince of Wales' Foundation Romania, a charitable organization interested in education and also in supporting the preservation of the national heritage and sustainable development in Romania.

This is the second foundation sponsored by Prince Charles in Romania, after the Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation opened 15 years ago also in Viscri, the vice-chair of which is Caroline Fernolend.

'We are proud and very happy that Prince Charles chose Viscri and his property here as the home of his new foundation. Viscri is a community that functions very well and I believe that was the main reason for his choosing of the village as the home of this foundation. People from all over the country will come here to attend various restoration courses and to train for various jobs, but also students from abroad. The Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation will remain independent and will have nothing to do with the new entity launched on Tuesday,' Caroline Fernolend told AGERPRES.

The Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation helps people who graduated the courses here to set up a small business, while The Prince Charles of Wales' Foundation Romania will not do the same.
