EC funds for Greece at standstill due to referendum

The first meetings of the monitoring committee of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) programs in Greece scheduled for next week have been postponed as a result of the referendum in Greece for July 5. “Postponement would not significantly delay the activation procedures and expertise of the new NSRF 2014-2020,” wrote the NSRF General Secretary in a statement, however did not clarify how long the delay would be.

The postponement will result in delays to absorption of funds available for Greece to address its developmental needs.
