Bulgaria's reigning football champion Ludogorets suffered a surprising defeat in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

Hosts Ludogorets lost 0-1 to the champions of Moldova Milsami Orhei in a match, which was played on Tuesday.

Alexandru Antoniuc scored the only goal in the 41st minute, giving the visiting side an important advantage before the second leg, which will take place a week later in Moldova on July 21.

Therefore, the Bulgarian team will need a victory in the return game in case it wants to proceed to the third qualification round.
