UNESCO has not received Pristina's membership application

UNESCO has not received Kosovo's application for membership, the secretariat of the UN organization in Paris has confirmed for Vecernje Novosti.

The Belgrade-based daily said that Pristina a week ago announced that it had sent the application, and that this prompted Serbia's diplomacy to "try and secure that all the countries uncertain whether to support Pristina in the end vote against rather than abstain."
