"Provincial elections cannot be held before April"

Head of the provincial government in Vojvodina and DS party leader Bojan Pajtic has said that provincial elections can be held in April at the earliest.

"Under Vojvodina's Statute, elections for deputies are called by assembly's speaker 90 days before the end of the assembly's mandate, and elections must be completed within the next 60 days. Therefore the first possible date for holding them would be April 22, and the last May 22," he told the Belgrade-based daily Danas, and added:
