Vulin: Croatia's border closure represents racism

Aleksandar Vulin, minister of labour, employment, veteran and social policy of Serbia, has qualified the Croatian Government's decision to close the border cro?ings for the vehicles with Serbian registration plates as racism.

Vulin told the reporters in Tasmajdan that there is no connection between the movement of goods and refugees, adding that Croatia "almost drew the name, religion and nation on the border."

 

He pointed out that the communication between the two countries was not interrupted in this way even during the war years in the 1990s and asked Croatia about European solidarity.

 

Vulin stated that 180,000 people have pa?ed through Serbia with no incidents since the beginning of the year, and that Croatia has collapsed over the arrival of 8,000.

 

He said that the Croatian authorities respond in this way because of incoming elections and that it is Serbia's great misfortune that neighboring country is represented by su? unserious people "who do nothing else but just think about the elections."

 

Vulin has reacted to the statement by the Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, who divided the Serb nation in the Serbs and the Serbians, and asked Milanovic on what basis he "respects one and prohibits others from movement."

 

He said that Serbia does not find measures at the borders funny and that Serbia worries about every penny that Serbian and Croatian busine?men will loose.

Vulin has said that Serbia does not want to "shut one in the cattle wagon and drive one off to this or that direction."
