Swiss-Bulgarian IT Cloud Co Defies Hackers from Around the World

What happens to the tons of data generted by society today and how do we protect it - and do we need to turn from Homo Sapiens into Homo Cloudus?

pCloud, a Swiss company with Bulgarian know-how, has its own answers and solutions to this. At a recent press conference, it showcased its outlook for the digital future.

But presentation was not the only goal as the company set a challenge to the most skilled hackers around the globe: they all have three months to tackle pCloud Crypto, the latest service which will be available to break through in its real version - and not as a specially created copy as it is normally done.

Confidential data storage accessible from any device is among the key services offered by pCloud. High security, which uses client-side encryption (done by the customer) and makes sure a document will have at least 5 copies, has been just one of the key features which helped pCloud set foot on Asian, American and European markets and gain much ground in countries such as Turkey and Brazil.

With 2.5 million users added in just two years since it was launched, the company is eyeing a target of 20 million by the end of next year.

Over these very same to years, "92% of global information available today was generated", Tunio Zafer, CEO at pCloud, told the audience, adding data storage is bubbling at a pace that is 4 times as fast as the growth of the global economy.

"Storing this kind of information is becoming a more and more difficult task - for both people and businesses. Our strong Bulgarian team is working not only to provide solutions for data storage, but also [to make sure] the data is at the safest place possible," he explained.
