Greece should be actively supported, Steinmeier’s spokeswoman says

The spokeswoman of the German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Sawsan Chebli, referred to the “very good talks” with the Greek leadership and added that Greece should be actively supported on the refugees issue.

Regarding the implementation of the agreed, Steinmeier, according to his spokeswoman, stressed that Greece feels the pressure of the refugee crisis stressing, though, that Germany did not give any promises beyond the 17 points agreed in Brussels.

“It is clear that Europe is trying to support and will continue to support,” noted Chebli underlying: “If we want to solve the refugee crisis, we must make an agreement with Turkey to actively support the Greek government.”
