British Airways gives Kalamata a vote of confidence with direct flights
British Airways is offering new direct flights from London’s Heathrow airport to the city of Kalamata, in the southern Peloponnese, starting in April 30, 2016, through to September 24.
Freddie Stier, Commercial Manager of British Airways of Cyprus and Greece:
“We are pleased to announce Kalamata as the newest addition to British Airways’ extensive network in Greece. We are very proud that we have a long history of over 90 years of flights between Greece and London, and now we fly to 10 Greek destinations, offering our British customers an excellent choice for top holiday options.”
Peloponnese Prefect Petros Tatoulis said the addition of Kalamata to the British Airways’ route schedule shows the confidence of the English tourist market in the region’s increased potential, which was strengthened after the successful hosting of the ABTA’s (UK’s largest travel association) conference in Pylos last month.
“We feel truly honoured and satisfied for British Airways’ decision to ‘travel’ to Kalamata and the Peloponnese on a regular basis,” he said.
